Great Ocean Rd Cruise 24th August

Hi guys

a few of us have organised a cruise on 24th of august, looks like it will take about 4.5 hours. we will get going fairly early to beat the sunday drivers. all welcome, register your interest here. we will look to confirm a meeting point early next week. I will attach the route later on today

I'll add that that's an awesome route & I'm sure you will all totally enjoy it. Especially coming back the inland way.

I may turn up for this myself. What time do you think you'll be passing through Geelong?

We'll be in Geelong Centre 40mins after I leave Altona.


Do we want to go early to avoid traffic? I know if we leave at 6am its a very clear run. Plus there is a Maccas where I started the route and a Shell servo which has Vpower Racing.

I reckon meet up in the Shell which has enough parking to take photos before we leave.

well gonna have to give it a miss if meeting up at 6am....
means i'm gonna have to be up at 4 to get bub up and over to babysitters.. and i dont think they will be impressed at a 530 drop off time!!

7am too early? It's mainly to beat traffic, if you leave at 10am I hope you enjoy the backs of caravans and tour buses.

7.30 arrival for 8 am start sounds good to me. buta poll sounds fair. can somebody tell me how to set one up? (or they could do it for me)

Okay guys, we should just make it 7:30am meet-up and 8am leave. I mean really, Buses and 4WD that won't move are not fun. If we are off at 8am, we will be on the Great Ocean Rd by 9:30 and having fun which will hopefully be okay.

There is maccas next to the shell, so we can eat breakfast at the meet. I know there will be atleast 4 cars for leaving at 8am going by this thread.
