Seeing as Homebush always has a shyteload of parking, is there anywhere in that area that incorporates both the BBQ with a park, and parking? That may work..?

If you are talking about P6d,e,f,g etc etc. those carparks are pay and display.

Green space.... There's Bi-Park, Riverside Park (Has a fairly large carpark i think it has a 4 Hour (if no) limit) It's located on the Parra River, the overflow... If you want to reserve a spot say in Bi-Park for instance there are fees and charges, however if you just want to turn up no charge.

All the above places I have mentioned have BBQ toilet facilities etc etc.

Parking always varies on what time of day whether it is sunny etc. On a sunny day expect Bi-Park parking bays to be full by 11:00 on a weekend.

I have to agree on that one, I'd much rather have a whole day event with a variety of activities rather than just sitting in a carpark or a leisurely 10km drive...

I'd love to hire out a place with a race track, have models walking around draping themselves on cars, have trophys and big signs and all that jazz but that's not going to be possible on the tiny budget or lack of we have to do this with.

Let's get every one together first of all and start to build intrest in having a decent event and work our way towards it.

Well, just got the OK from the other forum admin's to run with the idea so I have posted it up on ozvolks/ozaudi and also vortex. Still waiting to hear back from ECCA.

I think the entire watercooled community need something like this.

An idea is you could also make it a fund raiser. That may twist a few dealer's, business' & sponsor's to jump on board.
