Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

He's probably getting it towed from a sticky spot right now when he forgot it had no reverse.
Learn the hard way.
Oh and when the coppers see it, it will be minus rego as it will get the bomb sticker.
But then the new owner can recoup something, there doesn't appear much that anyone would want though. What 's a rusty door worth these days ?

if we were all about practicality and value for money we'd probably have 1.6L Holden Astras or Toyota Corollas. Instead we spend thousands on cars that will never be worth what we put into them. So to be fair he can do whatever the hell he wants with his 1600 dollars.
The car has character, you can at least give it that.Current: 2007 Black Magic GTI - APR Stage 2, Carbonio intake, APR downpipe and catback exhaust, RNS510, Bi-Xenons, Custom Red Leather Interior, Tow Bar, Racks and Parking Sensors

We spend thousands of dollars improving our cars not ruining them by peeing on them.

Each to their own, we had/have a (semi) ratted up MK3 here.
I'm not a huge fan of the rat look and can't see myself having one... but then you can't beat it for a head turner and the response it got was great!
New and different ideas (or takes on old ideas) are what keeps the scene and community alive and I'm all for anything that does that.
