Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    it was at the time, but it was middle of gfc, and he had it for sale for about 6 months with no takers, started off with a price of $60k. it was a stg 3 tuned b5 rs4, oettinger chip, full milltek exhaust, 100 cel cats. dynoed at 450hp. ran the qtr in 12 secs and was an excellent practical car.

      Even for a b5 s4 the runnings costs are high. You want to change the clutch talking about 3k, when the turbos go and they do it's engine out for at least a week and you are talking a minimum of about 15,000 $ to get close to doing it properly.

      I always wanted a b5 s4 and almost bought one, but the maintenance costs always won out in the argument !
