Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Asking premium dollars, but it does appear to be in good nick and comes with a full loom.. Bloody good buy really.

Defiantly worth having a look at, double check it's condition (running) and the completeness of the loom, and that's a very good price for a conversion.

Crying out for a mk 2 or 3!

I know the engine and the seller. Beau actually took it and the loom out of a running Toledo, so it should definately be a runner. Loom will also be taken out nicely. Get the coded key, ignition switch and housing and the immobilizer and will plug straight into a Mk2 or 3.

Price is pretty good for an all-inclusive engine! Someone needs to jump on this

This is EXACTLY what I want in the mk2. But $1500! Not sure I want to drop that much into the engine at this stage.

You'll not find one cheaper. And it's a lot easier than having to find a donor car with an ABF

Your existing box will work but an 02A box would be stronger.

thanks mate, tossing up between keeping my vento (auto) or stripping back a 76 shell I have in the garage for a bit of a weekend drive/track toy so would need a box regardless, not keen to keep the stock 4sp in the 76
