Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Hey mate

Got a set of racks for you that you can use.

Mine are Roof Carrier Systems Australia branded who basically import the thule style roof racks.

These racks are made up of 3 parts; Loadbar, Foot Pack and Fitting kit.

My one was originally for a BMW E36 and so the fitting kit isn't perfect - the bar and feet are fine, it's just the fitting kit. It can be jimmied to fit onto the bora roof rack mounts, however it's a tight fit and only uses one of the two mounts.

I was going to buy a VW bora fitting kit (Thule Product No: 1051 ) but never got around to it.

Yours for $50 if you like? Bar and feet are worth an easy $200-250 alone.
