I would like to purchase a 9W7 kit including foam and cables. I already have the RCD510 unit and would like to add Bluetooth to it in my Jetta. Any ideas or links would be appreciated. I have been keeping an eye on ebay so I know what is going there. Thanks.

Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Just a heads-up:
You can't use any old 9w7 (despite it being reported as working with all cars with a white or colour MFD), as it won't respond to your steering wheel controls, therefor you can't complete the initial phone setup.
You need a 3C8035730E. This one supports RSAP and WIFI, and while you don't need either of those features, it is compatible with our cars.
When you install it initially and enable it in the canbus gateway, it won't work properly either, you'll get some 'no audio' issues. Just lock the car, walk away for 10 mins and come back (this allows the canbus gateway and bt unit to fully power down and reset) and then it will work properly going forward.
When you first pair your phone, it will ask if you want to allow the BT unit to take over your SIM card identity (this is RSAP. Unless you want to use RSAP in which case you need to install the GSM antenna on your windscreen). Choose no and don't display again then it will just behave like a normal BT paired phone device.2011 Skoda Octavia vRS TDI DSG wagon|Revo Stage 1|Race Blue|Leather|Dynamic Xenons w 6000K|9w7 BT|THA475 Amp+active sub|Whiteline ALK|RVC|

Thanks kamold for the heads up. This is for my 2006 Jetta so it has the half height red mfd in the dash. Don't need it to display in the dash or anything, just display on the rcd510 just like my R36 does as it is red full height mfd.2013 Touareg V8TDi - Black, LED Interior Mods, LED Projector "VW" Door Courtesy Lights, 20" VW Mountain Rims with A/T Tyres, Pioneer SX Roof Platform with some 4x4 accessories and a whole lotta torque
