  • VIC WTB: MK1 or MK2

Hi Guys, Im a newbie here and am coming from the dark side (Subaru). Want to buy a Mk1 or a MK2 Golf. Preferably with Reg.
Let me know if you have one for sale. Willing to travel interstate for the right one.
    Cheers

    Hi Dave,

I'm interested in selling my 1990 MK2 GTI. It's an Australian-delivered 8v 5-door hatch with about 196xxx km on the clock. It would be a reluctant sale but I have a company car now so it doesn't get driven. Prior to that it was my reliable daily that was lots of fun and cheap to run...

Purchased from a fellow forum member about two years ago. Extras include BBS RA rims, spare parcel shelf (was going to install speakers but never did), original radio, original wheels and Bentley service manual.

Looking for $3700 without RWC or $4700 with RWC (don't think it will cost $1k but I'll struggle to find time to arrange the inspection).

I've posted a few pics I took on the weekend and also a link to my flickr page for more that were taken about 12 months ago.

If anyone else is interested let me know and I'll add more info. You can reach me here or on 0409 433 587.

    Cheers,
    Sean

Howdy. A year later and I'm on the search for another mk1 or mk2. May look at mk4 Gti as well. Let me know what you've got. Would prefer in vic with reg.

              I can relate to that.

Nothing worse than having to sell a car and then wanting it back. I was lucky and found the same MK2 that I sold 2 years earlier.

              Good luck with your searching.

              Cheers

There is a guy in the Cars for sale section who does have 4 Mk1's for sale. Thred name:

                          4 x Mk1's for sale

Give him a crack. He reckons they need little work to get back on the road.
