  • TAS TT brake upgrade from 280mm VR6

Anyone suggest where to get these in AUS (want to keep postage to a min)

Will i need adaptors? larger carriers? etc.

second hand or new stuff, not worried

    cheers

you need TT carriers, discs, longer bolts and a small spacer for the caliper to align with the offset of the disc

If youre upgrading from 280s you will also need some calipers and brake lines. You can use 288mm ones just fine though as they support the 25mm disc width

      IMO, ebay UK

      example

From UK with postage is generally much cheaper unless you find them in on local ebay, here or OzAudi forum, etc.

Are you kidding do you know how much a pair of discs weigh alone.
          Freight would be ridiculous.

you might note I linked callipers and carriers, the hard to get bits. I'd get the rotors and pads from QFM or something...

freight might be expensive, but have you priced hardware from a dealer? if it costs you $300 to ship, that could still be WELL under the cost of those parts locally (plus VW Aust never seem to have anything I need in the country).
