QLD Looking for 9N3 GTI turbo AKA K03s.

Hey fellas, got my cheapy Polo on the road today and the turbo is shot to bits. I am looking for a replacement with sub 100K on it, I don't want to fit on as old as the dead one.

Brisbane would be good but I don't mind shipping the right one here.

I was thinking some of the Frankenturbo/K04 boys might have something suitable for me.

More K's than the broken one, I can't bring myself to do that with putting a bit of effort in.

I did think of yours straight away but it's an extra 20k on top of the failed one. Although, I am keen to know why it failed. Going to drop the sump off later for a look at the oil pump pickup. Too much boost requested by AMD map? Who knows

Nah Gav I'd already done the KM conversion - so 106,000kms which was something like 60-62000 miles which is why I said it was low KMs for Europe!

I bought Nightphotographers in the end, as I want to get the car back on the road. He is shipping it to me today. So I should be going again by Wednesday.

That's the trouble with Turbo's though Clint - high K's isn't good, but neither is really low K's either (short trips shorten the life of the turbo) - if you sold it to someone that didn't know this you'd get a fair bit definitely. I'm sure there will be some interested, especially the MK4 GTI guys - post an EOI once it's out. I'd push for $600-700 - you could give it a go for sure.

I sold my stock turbo for $250 i think. New they are under $1000 im sure

From VWA they'll be about $3000 - they were $2000 from VW UK when I was looking over there, you'd have to import one from somewhere and pray you don't get a chinese made one.
