NSW Wanted to buy: set of 4 wheels and tyres for MkV Golf

Hi all,
I'm looking for a set of 16s or 17s for my wife's MkV Golf. Anyone upgrading and need to offload their OEMs?
Or have their OEMs collecting dust in the garage?
Looking for at least 80% tread as its to replace the current tyres which are ready to go. Pretty much any tyres would be better than the rubbish 15' Goodyear NCTs which are on it.
Prefer pickup in Sydney area.

Yeah I'll give that a go, just wanted to put the feelers out there in case anyone had a set taking up valuable garage space or had just upgraded and needed to offload their oems.

Hi,

I have a set of 17" OEM Denvers with Continental CS2 tyres. One of the wheels has a scuff on the edge, while the others are very good.

The tread is less than you want though, around 50%.

I am located in Sydney.

I bought these wheels for my Polo this week but they do not fit, which is the only reason I am selling (would like to have them on my car!)

hey i have 2 sets of 18's that would fit a golf easily (5X112, similar offsets).Both are OEM original audi wheels
I have audi Caressa's (18X7.5)(brand NEW) dont have tires fitted but i can get some kumho ku31's that have only to 8000 to 12000 km's.
Also have a set of audi s5 rims (18X8.5)(2 small marks) tires are bridgstone re050A with around 80 percent tread.

i am based in melbourne, so i get get them couriered to you for a reasonable price. both sets of wheels are on ebay, so feel free to contact me here or there, they are collecting dust, and the tires are reasonably fresh stock.

and i reckon 18's would look way better than 16 or 17 any day on a golf, not too big, or too small/

Apologies I should have been more specific. I only want 16 or 17 inch wheels as it's for my wife's car so comfort is more important than looks or performance. Likewise price is more important than performance (with a floor on performance I want decent quality tyres).
Budget of ~$500.

I have some Lyra 16x6.5" ET52 off my Skoda Octavia (same suspension, etc as a GolfV). Tyres are 205/55x16 Continental Sport Contact2 (a fairly comfortable tyre.

The tyres have a couple of mm of tread left before they hit the wear indicators.

The wheels are unmarked except for a 10c piece sized graze in the clearcoat on one of the spokes where it fell over onto the face when I was cleaning them.

You can have them for $400 including the centrecaps & black plastic covers to go over the wheel nuts. You'll need to buy some VW stickers off ebay (about $10) for the centrecaps (that's how I made my Audi wheels look like Skoda wheels).
