Mate check out Xforce for an exhaust. They make good quality stainless exhausts at a very reasonable price. They also have a full system for the Mk5 GTI.

I had an Xforce system on my old car (Nissan 200sx) for about 6 years and never had an issue with it. Looked great, sounded great, well priced and well made.
