well its time to look for a new motor and do some work to it. there is nothing wrong with the diesel but its tie for some power! not sure what i am after yet, but definately petrol. more than likely a 1.8. any thoughts on where to start and anyone got anything lying around?

depends how crazy you want to go. But for starters I'd look at something like what Pete Jones has in his red mk 1. mk3/cordy 1.8, with a DGV style weber, electronic ignition, extractors and a nice exhaust.Originally posted by lawny View Post

There's a couple of 1.8s still with their 5 speed boxes attached down at Centre Road wreckers if you're quick. You'll have to pull them out of a Cordoba is all.
