            Plenty of Mk1 Cabby's around if thats your kinda thing, wasn't looking for one when I bought mine...but its a great car. Good fun! Be nice with a few mods.

              how much would you like to spend ? there are Mk1s in the market, apparently they are either too good or too bad outside your boundary.

                  dont we all - but even the "good lookin" ones have a story behind them - be glad you didnt buy the red one i just did - unless your a welder for a day job....

                    mate, you may forget about this and look in to buying something else. these days you will have to be very lucky to find one first and second 3k would prob.be not right price for it.thats my opinion.nice vr6 are getting hard to find so you may as well stick to it and in a short time they would be even harder to find and more expensive

                      I tend to disagree. There are nice mk 1's out there. and 3K should get you a very good (if original) example. I tend to think it's better to buy the best car you can, rather than spend a whole lot of time and money fixing the body & wear and tear (unless that's what you're looking for)

                      It just comes down to timing and patience. often it's a matter of stumbling across the right car, or waiting a long time to find the right one!

                        thanks jarred thats exactly what i thought, iv seen plent of clean mk1s sold easily within my price range. anyways ill be crossing the border just, sometime this week to look at a 4 door which looks in pretty good original condition.
