  • SOLD Mk7 GTI Multi-Function Steering Wheel + DSG Paddles

For sale is a near new Mk7 GTI Multi-Function Steering wheel including DSG Paddles, Airbag and wiring harness. This is an ideal upgrade for a Mk7 Golf Comfortline or Highline model to add paddle shift and a GTI badge .

This wheel was fitted to a Mk6 (Tiguan) for a short time, however there were incompatibilities in the communications between the Mk7 wheel and Mk6 Steering Wheel Control Module resulting in buttons not functioning correctly. The wheel is now being removed for sale.

One of the clips/connectors on the wiring harness has been damaged, however it does all plug together and work OK (please see photo). However if you're installing into a Mk7 Golf you can use your own wiring harness and discard the damaged one it you like.

It may be possible to replace the buttons with some that are compatible with mk6 (from a Scirocco or Polo MFSW) for retro fit into Golf6, Jetta, Passat, Tiguan, etc. Same would apply with these steering wheel upgrades is that you would require a highline SWCM that would accept the steering wheel buttons and to enable paddle shift using VCDS.

    Asking $400 + shipping

Will this work on a mk5 gti? Can be used without the mfsw buttons working if just wanted it to work as dsg and airbag?

Quite possibly. I got the DSG paddles, horn and airbag connected/working on the Tiguan which is essentially the same as a Mk6 GTI.

I know people have installed Mk6 steering wheels into a Mk5, so if all you wanted was the DSG paddles, horn and airbag I think this is do-able. Though you'd have to check up to find out if you need to upgrade any of your hardware to get the paddles working.
