Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Does anyone know if these would be suitable for a MK6 TDI Golf - unsure of exact engine, it's for a mate. I know diesel's are heavier in general, but unsure of how much difference it would make.

okay - is there an easy way to find out if his MK6 TDI has a 54.6mm strut? I need some MK6 guys to chime in - is there a year or model that uses different struts?

Not sure tbh, I think we need some tdi guys to help out here. The au models may have only had one size strut? Euro market always seems to have more variants

Yeah - I've got a bit more info now and it's sounding promising. Guess the only way to be 100% sure is to physically measure up and make sure they'll fit.
