Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Polybushed Mk4 Dogbone Mount
Used for ~6 months from new. Only changed as I fitted a VF Engineering mount. This has the red diesel bush which is a bit more friendly than the super stiff yellow mount. A good improvement over OEM.
    $70 (can post for $15)

    Mk4 R32/TT/S3 Front Control Arms
A great upgrade for the base model Mk4s or if you want to change the bushes on your existing arms and reduce time off the road. Loads of aftermarket bush options for these. The bushes and ball joints are usable but you might as well replace them while they're off (one ball joint has a torn boot). Hard to get these over here now (I've tried). I only removed them to fit the USRT/IDF Tubular Arms.
$200 ono (can post if required)

    Mk4 R32/TT/S3 Rear Control Arms
Useful if you want to correct camber issues from lowering. 2 are shorter than the others so you can fit a shorter or longer pair on the top or bottom (vice versa) to change the camber. No issues with the bushes on removal. I replaced them with Gurvenparts/Mad Max arms.
    $60 for all 4

    Mk4 R32/TT/S3 Tie Rods
I replaced these as part of a suspension overhaul but there was nothing wrong with them as such. No knocking or anything. All joints are free moving without play.
    $50

    S3 Side Mount Intercoolers
I removed these to fit an AH Fabs front mount. Nothing wrong with them, no leaks. Some slightly bent fins as shown in the pics.
    $70

No one upgrading their MK4? The dogbone is a great upgrade as are the other bits for a fwd model or someone wanting to do their bushes on an AWD without downtime.

Would take the arms and mount off you if installing a turbo stops costing a fortune. What do you think shipping is worth to WA?

            Shipping shouldn't be a problem. I could do it for $30? (they're heavy-ish)

                Stock Gen1 (Mk4) Haldex Controller
Has done ~100km but removed due to fitting a blue controller. No problems with it.

                B6/B7 S4 4.2 MAF (Also B5 RS4)
Ideal for big turbo conversions on the 1.8T (you use your sensor in this housing, scaled to suit). It's the 90mm housing. I believe it's the same as the B5 RS4 but check part numbers. This is 0 280 218 067.
$60 posted or $50 picked up
