For sale is a 1998 Passat 1.8 20v that drives ok but is a rego fail. Ideal for spares or wrecking but could possibly be repaired. Not willing to break the car myself, must be taken whole.
The good:
Engine runs ok, body is perfectly straight and apparently rust free, most electrics work fine including windows and central locking. Spare tyre is new/ almost new. Overall generally tidy if a bit worn.
The bad:
Front seal leak on engine, leak on auto, steering rack leak. Track rod ends need replacing and all 4 tyres are end of life. Auto gearbox sticks slightly on hills. Aircon not working but probably just needs re-gas.
Asking 500, will listen to offers. Located Hils district Sydney.
