please put me down i am defiantly interested its an honest price and would be nice to get get rid off the under steer on the golf R and with the newest 2+ re-flash thevtraction light is getting a real workout
i would be after the version 4 with switchable race standard, eco version can i make my own cables i.e doe these come with wiring diagrams?

OK. List updated and I've also included the group buy pricing for the Gen 2 and Gen 4 Haldex Controllers with switchable Eco/Std/Race functions.

Yes when running the controller in "Race" mode, this will transfer more power/torque through the rear wheels and changes the understeering FWD characteristics of the stock car completely. It is designed/manufactured by the same company that manufactures the standard Haldex units so will not interfere with the cars safety features ABS/ESC/etc.

If you want the switchable version, I would either puchase the cable version or remote. I don't think it's worth trying to make your own cable as you would have to find the correct plug connectors (which wouldn't be cheap) and for the extra $100 I actually don't think it's worth the stuffing around.

A few peple have installed the cable switch and instead of running the cable all the way through the cabin just leave it coiled up in the boot.

I'll have to find out what is available for Mk4. The gen 2 units are for mk5 R32. I suspect this may not fit/suit the Mk4.

OK news on the Mk4 Haldex Controllers is as follows:

Mk4 R32 / M1 TT Gen.1 Haldex units are out of production for the moment:

HPA are currently out of stock on the Gen.1 units, and VW has reported a global shortage on the Gen.1 going forward.

VW obviously supplies Haldex (they manufacture these for HPA) with inventory for their "flashed" aftermarket modules, but they are also required to keep aside inventory for general repairs / replacements of OE units in the service sector. Apparently this inventory number has dipped so low from aftermarket Sport (blue) and Competition (stealth) units, that VW is concerned they won't even have enough for their dealer service departments.

So Haldex is cut off from the Gen.1 for the Mk4 R32 / Mk1 TT/S3 for now.

HPA are however attempting to secure more inventories through their contacts at VW Wolfsburg / Haldex, and as such are starting a notification list for when these units will arrive at HPA.

I'm looking at a Gen 2 without cable/remote. It is to go into my T5 4motion and apparently the switching thing wont work anyway on the T5.
I actually contacted the Darryl from HPA a week ago but you guys got a much better price!

I'll have to do some homework on the T5 as I know gen 2 controllers default to sport mode without a switch (halfway between standard and race).
