Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • NSW Mk4 Switchblade for use in Mk1/2/3

Ever wanted a switchblade for your Mk1/2/3??

    As seen in this thread:

I made up one for my Mk3 (then upgraded to a full remote keyless entry thing) so have this sitting in a drawer waiting for a new owner.

As per the thread it has been drilled out to fit the immobiliser chip so it's as easy as either sourcing a proper AH key blank and having it cut to suit or dremelling your own kit to fit into this. It does come with two blank mk4 style blades (not the AH blank pictured).

Pickup welcome in Campbelltown, otherwise I'm happy to post it for a couple of $$.

I'll open up to offers of $0 or more

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.
