  • Well I contacted paypal regarding a refund..
they said since as of oct 8th when sandy wanted the final payment it is now more then 45 days and I would have to talk to my credit card office...(even though it was delayed again and I did not receive it till nov 20th...)
The credit card office said the seller is responsible for picking it up via fed ex, dhl,or what ever way of shipping back to them as per rules as a seller...
So I will Wait till sandy gets back to me...

    • Well mine is now just getting worse. The unit has turned itself off twice, the speed of the unit has dropped considerably. Every action lags 4-5 seconds before doing anything. Also just list all radio reception. I won't receive my new FAKRA adapter until dovelike next week. Let's see if that resolves my radio signal woes. I've attached what mine is showing under system.

Edit: and steering wheel controls just stopped working.

      • Wow you dont read this thread for a day and look what happens! I have to say a fair bit of my excitement in receiving this unit has waned. Lets hope Sandy comes through for you guys OS when he gets back. At least for us guys here in Aus we have our fair trading laws on our side if worst comes to worst. Lets hope it doesnt come to that though. Hopefully our units are ok or just a firmware fix.

        • I have my dns 810 removed..my installer did it.. and is waiting in the original box to be returned for refund...

When I called dhl they told it is much cheaper to send it back if they (audiosource)has a account...

          • Well, I installed my unit just to see how long it lasts. I shall keep all posted as it progresses in the cold dark days here in Ontario Canada.

Yeahhhhh we north American folk could be SOL. Ascertain don't really have any protection against anything when it comes to this, I hope my unit is okay.

So far the one fault I see is the backlight for the buttons flicker a fair bit on initial boot, once the system is up they go out unless I have my lights on. Then they are on with solid red.

Well I suspect that is a function of the car as my factory RCD-300 switches the backlighting on and off with the headlights. I reckon the DNS is simply picking up the same codes.

Good ole Australia post, I have caught them in the act a couple of times writing out the card in their truck without ever getting out (my dogs let me know they are sitting out the front).

Yea, so frustrating. It's always funny seeing the reaction on the guy at the DC, 'oh but this is for collection tomorrow'... yea well I know it's in there, so just give me my package :p

                            • Does anyone else have huming feedback in their SD playback? Not sure if its just the SD playback or if its the radio itself

Standard trick. They are mail contractors and are paid per visit. Much easier to pre-fill the "no one at home" card and then zip around and drop each one into a letterbox. Takes less time to do this than get out of the van, find the article in the back, lock the van, then walk to your door, knock, wait for you to answer, then get you to sign, and then eventually walk back to the van. Then it is ONE trip to the local post office and leave the article for you to collect.

Most of the activity after around 4 pm is just people coming in to collect articles that should have been delivered.

It's even more annoying if you've taken a day off to accept delivery.
