Ok, got mine installed. Overall, the unit responds well, and I have tested, music and video from sd, oem aux in and iPod ~ all work great.

The things I have noticed. Brightness is set to highest and when I select another brightness level is stays max bright. At night, it's too bright.

Only other issue is I can hear some kind of interference or slight buzzing sound in the background when the unit is on.

Other than that- all seems ok. Navigation seems to work well.

Bluetooth works well.

Radio works. I did lose sound once but it may have been me playing with Bluetooth.

I have a 2009 jetta, and didn't need the fakra adapter (although I ordered one).

But they are owned by Auspost, and i find Auspost to be inconsistent quite often

Either way it's strange/annoying, Sunnybank Hills is literally 3 suburbs away from me. May be because my local Auspost DC is fairly useless haha.

If it doesn't come tomorrow, something funky has gone on, maybe messages got mixed and his dad thought I was gonna pick it up. Hrm.

Well it not working in the cold is the final straw..even before that issue I had big problems.. the blu tooth does not work..
It took me a day to try different things to get it to sink finally out of the blue it worked so I made my first call and my wife could not hear me at all...
And the rvc camera does not work.
I have a powered subwoofer connected and that doesn't work properly either..
The fm radio will not work no sound out of it, if I switch from gps, or sd card....

I have to send it back this is bull..I have tried canada post and the cheapest delivery is $40 but it will take 2 months to get there. ..another option is $107 and it will take 7 days... but I dont think we should have to pay...
I talked to audiosource and she said they only pay shipping one way..
I said I want a refund and she said she would be happy to exchange it...
I don't want to exchange it. Then I will have to pay duty again $75 when they send me another one. I just want a refund and not have to pay shipping. We should all get together and send them back and ask for refund. I am going to contact PayPal now

Wow, this went bad real quick! LOL. Let's all just chill a bit until Sandy is back to "defend" himself. I, for one, have had nothing but positive conversations with Sandy and he has been helpful to me (in fact I cancelled my order, he credited me the full amount immediately, then decided to go for it and paid him again....). I find it convenient for people to throw Sandy under a bus knowing he is not able to defend himself. Obviously frustration has taken over people's better judgement and I get that.
We will have to deal with Sandy when he gets back and the issues we need addressing are the following:
1) White screen due to cold temperature - this is a show stopper in that, like most have said, it's a manufacturing issue. AS should be prepared to replace all units with working and full tested units ASAP. Sandy, as our salesman, will have to support this and come up with a solution for all of us when he returns. This includes no extra costs to the user (including shipping).
2) Lack of USB and Aux In cables - this is case by case issue as I am prepared to go full OEM and get the USB/Aux combo jack and wire to make this work. AS assumed that the DNS would work with whatever you already had as an OEM solution (which is correct) but advertised it as having USB and Aux in inputs. Again, case by case in my opinion.

These are the two main issues. The others like Camera install/wiring, certain units don't seem to be working well with SD and FM switching, bluetooth not working consistently are all Firmware related issues (I believe).

I do apologize for my postings, I did get upset hearing all the issues that people were having. I myself if I need to exchange this do agree that we are not to pay a cent more for return shipping or warranty work, that's why I opted for the extra warranty as it apparently covered this. When they do send them back out that they don't declare the value as high as they did so we don't get nailed with duties,

Raymond, how much was your unit valued for on the dhl slips? I only had a 26 dollar import fee, the radio was marked o believe 150 with a 75 dollar shipping listing. Also let me know what PayPal says if you do contact them, as that might be a last resort for me.

Mate you don't need to apologise for anything. Being a receiver of a dud unit we understand your frustration especially after waiting 6 months one is entitled to expect a certain level of quality.

Let's wait & hear what Sandy says upon his return. Also keen to hear what issues the Aussie units are encountering.

Yes I do. Please let us know what you find out with the current wiring you have so we can isolate the Camera issue people are having.
