  • ACT OEM K04 Upgrade Components for MkV and MkVI Golf GTI

As mentioned elsewhere on VWW, I've recently installed the APR Stage 3 kit on my Golf R and as such have no need for the stock K04 turbo and associated OEM parts.

I'm looking to sell these parts as a single kit, which would be a bolt-on upgrade suitable for MkV and MkVI GTI owners looking to move to the K04 turbo.

    The components include:

    •K04 turbo with exhaust manifold
    •Turbo-back downpipe
    •Intercooler
•Intake plumbing integrated into engine cover
    •High pressure fuel pump
•Various bits of plumbing to connect it all (per photo)

The components were all on the car for about 7000kms.

You'll need K04 software to make it all work - I have been told by the guys who installed my Stage 3 kit that APR's K04 software will work, and I imagine that other K04 tunes would work also. I believe that the intercooler from the R is basically the same size as the standard GTI but with plumbing for the K04.

I'm looking for $2700 for the lot, with pick-up from the ACT. For reference APR's K04 kit (without intercooler but with software) is $4400. I can arrange shipping if needed however there are some heavy components so it might be a few hundred dollars depending on where you are located.

If you need pics or part numbers of anything just let me know.

Good upgrade for Mk5 GTI owners - just a note for Mk6 GTI owners that the turbo doesn't suit these engines. The manifold is different.

Thanks Lucas - must have got my wires crossed when chatting to my mechanic about which models would be suitable for these parts.

Can't seem to change the original post to reflect this - will try again when not on my phone.
