I don't think you can change the carb on wa cars legally you'll have to ask transport , I know here it's legal

I don't think it matters. It's more about % KW performance increase from factory standard. I had the same setup on my mk2 8v GTI with a lairy cam and sport exhaust. He failed it on a tiny rocker cover gasket leak, he wasn't concerned in the slightest by the brand new 32/36 weber looking at him!
So what will i have to do to make this setup run on my 1982 Mk1 1600 8v? Re-jet? or can i just weaken the mixture down on the screw?
If it's all running ill go $80 on it not including postage lol...

What gearbox code is it? Should be on flat plate on bottom of box. I'm keen and can arrange transport, but am after specific codes.
