Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • NSW FS: OZ Racing Ultraleggeras 19x8 ET35 5x112 (BRAND NEW)

    Hey guys,

I have for sale a set of OZ Racing Ultraleggeras in 19x8 ET35 in 5x112 fitment. They use ball-seat wheel lugs so you can use your standard wheel lugs. Centrebore is approximately 78mm (couldn't get my caliper in there so used a rudimentary school ruler) and weight is 9kg +/- 0.5kg (I used my bathroom scales ). I'm not sure what the fitment is like on Mk5/Mk6/Passats so if someone can chime in, that'd be great. These are brand new in boxes (only opened for inspection and photos), with manual booklet and carbon fibre centre-caps. I can help out with a packaged tyre deal and can provide any other hardware (bolts, hub-rings etc).

After $1700 for the set of wheels only. Will consider all offers via PM. Willing to ship Australia-wide; should be ~$60 to metro Melbourne and Brisbane, a bit more for all other locations.

I've yet to measure up the centrebore but it looks larger than the standard VW/Audi 57.1mm. I'm not sure what the fitment is like on Mk5/Mk6/Passats so if someone can chime in, that'd be great. Nice wheels. I think the offset is going to be an issue for fitting onto Golfs - though I'll let one of the wheel gurus confirm. I'm pretty sure these will fit a Tig though as I'm currently running 18x8 ET35's.

Ray, hit up the OzAudi forums as this would work for most Audi A4/A5/A6's.

How much meat is left in the back of the hub?

All those wanting ET45/50 - machining the backface might be the solution.

in that second last photo looks like a little could come off, wouldn't want to do any more then 5mm id imagine (judging from that pic anyway)

not sure why there is so much fuss over 8et35, when much more aggressive wheels have been done on mk5+s in AUS previously
Bump for some cool wheels and a top bloke!

I had 17x8 ET35 on the Skoda once. Rears sat very nicely. A bit of poke beyond the guard line at the front. Might have been a bit of a pain if the car was lowered. Skoda sat like a tractor so no issue.

not overly different. same chassis, same track, same suspension.

Yeah there's quite a bit of hub there, but one of the features of this wheel is its brake clearance. As AP mentioned in another forum, they suit BBKs without the need for spacers! Might be a different story if the hub was machined down a little; that said, it should still fit standard sized brakes.

                              This photo illustrates it best:
