Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

          guessing 8P S3?
just use the simple offset calculator or some simple maths, think standard is 18x7.5et51, so 8et35 = 22mm more outwards, and 10mm more inner clearance.
offset calcs dont change for different cars/wheels.

Suprised you have bolted these up to the audi with adapters Ray

yes mate 8p s3, thanks for the advice, just thought that being 19's and the car being lowered 35mm it might change things. i did a search on the net but it came back inconclusive. Ray seems to know his onions when it comes to wheels so thought it was a simple question.

Ray - apologies for clogging your thread up mate, feel free as a moderataor to remove my posts and clean it up. i should have known there is no such thing as a simple question on an open forum. i'll keep searching and if i find out they go on without rubbing i'll pm you. i can always give the missus some bs about how we needed new tyres!

Hey guile, I'm just as in the dark with 8P/Mk5/Mk6 fitment as you are, so can't offer much help. Dylan's spot on with the calculations though; give the good ol' tape measure a go and see where it'll roughly sit. Perhaps you could run narrower tyres to minimise scrubbing if you think it might get to that!

Don't care about clogging up my thread, the more info the better.

No worries, thanks anyway mate, I'll try the tape measure and keep digging to see what I can find out, cheers

They should fit a MK6 okay but you wouldn't want to be running your car very low I don't think. A mild drop on VWR springs etc should be okay.
