  • ACT MKVI GTI Exhaust

MKVI GTI Exhaust, full system turbo to tail pipes. Only racked up about 1500k's so basically as new minus a few uninstall scratches. Not really sure what to ask $150? Pick up only due to size.

    Cheers

Did you replace your rear valance as well or just the exhaust?

Got any photo's of the bits that were pulled out?

I'm looking at upgrading the rear section of the 118TSI system and wondering if the GTI bits will fit. From what I understand the front end is all different, but I might be able to retrofit the rear muffler + a GTI valance (which does fit) and get some twin exhaust action

It looks like it might just fit...

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

I'm interested if you're willing to post - I am mainly interested in the catback exhaust section.

Sorry mate can't post it's just too big.

Aaron, still running the stock valance so you'd need to change that on yours to run it. What was pulled out was the whole exhaust from turbo to tail, just exhaust, no other parts.

Looks like I might be screwed anyway. After having it pointed out I looked a little deeper and it seems that the little black insert in the rear bumper is different across the vehicles for no apparent reason... although maybe it's to discourage non GTI/R owners from easily dressing up their vehicles as higher spec models boo.

Sadly it's either hacksaw (which I don't want to do just yet) or whole new bumper (again something I don't want to do) to get this to fit. So much for my easy way out

          *sigh*

I have done this on my 77TSI, only issue i encountered was that you need to go from a 2" (stock) to a 2.5" pipe and also add an extension of about 60cm to connect them.

I just got 65cm of 2.5" exhaust pipe off cut from a local mechanic (for free) and connected the rear with flanges and just got a guy at work to weld the front connection point where it goes from 2 to 2.5" if any of that makes sense lol

The removal of the stock system is pretty straight forward too, so that's not an issue...
