  • NSW Genuine VCDS (VAG-COM) HEX+CAN USB Interface/Dongle

Genuine interface cost me over $450 new from Ross Tech. Only used half a dozen times. I'm selling as I've just sold my golf. Looking for $320 including postage by registered post anywhere in Oz.

    Edit: This is now sold

Yep, these things do everything the Mk3 can support... however, the Mk3 is so basic (and old now) that the $20 eBay jobs can do pretty much everything you will ever need...

Mk4's have lots of switches you need the proper cable for and Mk5 and Mk6 all but need the proper cable to do anything worthwhile.

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

        Hi,

The interface I have is the "HEX-USB+CAN". It includes a license for the Ross-Tech VCDS software (acts as a dongle).

It works with most VW and Audi models it's just that there are less computer systems in the earlier models so there are less things you can query/adjust. Have a look here and note the comment about possibly needing a 2x2 adapter- not sure if that applies to you: http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/car...golfjetta.html

Here's some more info on the interfaces:

Hey guys if you are unsure whether this will work on your car you need to go and have a look on the Ross-Tech website - here's the link to the Golf application chart, but there's heaps on info on other pages on their site.

It's also the spot to look if you want to know what can be done using the tool for your specific car.
