$395 is the current retail. Some places do sell them for a bit more though.

Great batteries these - had one in my MY02 Liberty, and it never failed - I ended up jump starting about a dozen cars down a the snow once when everyone else's batteries froze up but the Optima wasn't fazed at all.

I might get myself down for two - one for the Bora, another for the Outback. Just need to sort out what size each of them take...

i use a red top in my race car awesome battery! i ran all day without my alternator running! feking legend!

Not much difference between the yellow and blue top, the blue top has the extra termianls and is designed to take the rocking motion of the boat.

Im down for a yellow top.

Just did a bit of research, these go for about $400 esay. Mates rates at Autobarn is about $360.

A newbie question here..

From reading the previous posts, it seems like this battery is just more reliable and better quality than you 'ordinary' battery... is this the case? or are there other benefits i am not aware of.

More power, no maintinance, its sealed, better quality, can take a bit of a bashing. Google it and you will find more info.

The only battery i can think of that is better than optima is Kinetik and they dont sell them anywhere out of the US.
