Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

        Needs to be fixed
        • Rear carpet section

        • Engine fans run on the original thermo switch so they cut in and out a lot on hot days, not an issue but I was going to fit a timer relay to make the fan operational more stable. (Just me been anal).
        • No surge tank just gravity feed from the fuel tank, works ok but ideally would need a surge tank if you was planning on lateral forces on the tank
        • Oil pump wiring is the wrong way round due to the original oil switch from the Golf IV and MK1 dash, So the light is on all the time (light on mean good oil pressure, light go out means switch the thing off)
        • No coolant/oil temp gauged fitted.

Currently not registered, will not be supply with plates.

        Will not split.

Any questions please ask on this sale page as i cant answer the phone during the day. PM will be replayed to if and when i log on.

        Thanks Gareth

Wow I can't believe you were asking so little for it - I would've started nearer 10k - such a beautiful car, if you consider that someone just sold some BBS RMs in worse specs than yours for $2000+ and then all the conversion work too! Someone's got a bargain!
