Have had 2 friends sell their gti 5 doors recently for 19 and 21k. Both more ks than yours, one manual.
so agree that you will need the right buyer at that price.

I'm no rush to sell, it's such a great car I don't mind having to drive it for a while longer.

Redbook is always a few thousand below the going rate, I had a look through Carsales and most of this spec and km are around this price (there is one similar on for $38k!).

In regards to no sale last year, I was (very optimistically) asking more then.
