It’s going to be sad to see the GTI go, but work commitments and family leave little time for my pride & joy. The GTI has been garaged for the past year. I think it’s better for someone to enjoy it rather than have it sitting unused in the garage. The GTI is being sold without roadworthy or rego. I have noticed a little miss (could be old or dirty fuel). The speedo/rev counter and aren’t working (could be wiring and fuses). Some surface rust is appearing as expected for a 32 year old car(can be seen in engine bay pics).
A genuine Mk1 GTI doesn’t come around too often. It was advertised 2 years ago for way more $$$ and received lots of interest. It would suit a car enthusiast to bring the GTI back to its original glory, with minimal cost and effort.
I have tried to describe the car as best as I can (I’m not a mechanic!). Please don’t hesitate to ask any questions. Because I’m working interstate, best contact is via text message, and I can reply after work hours.
