TAS 1979 Mk1 Golf, Neat, $2800 ONO.

1979 mk1 golf
a light cream/beige colour. not original, was painted sometime beforehand.
Clean brown interior, uncut door cards and parcel shelf.
Clean headlining
Everything works on inside, heater, lights, interior light ect.
seats are great besides a ciggie burn on passenger seat.
all the locks lock with one key, and glovebox locks.
all lights ect works on outside.
New tyres on rear.
upgraded brakes and master cylinder and booster

Just fitted a 1.8L from a Mk3 golf.
Has a rebuilt weber on it, extractors and 2" sports system.
All new engine mounts Heavy Duty.
210mm HD clutch

Bad points,
engine bay is rough. have tidy it up alot, but will need a repaint (i have some paint, should be enough)
Few spots of surface rust in some spots.
Rust bubble on front lower apron.
Few dents on front apron
Gearbox leaks slightly, have a sill to replace it. just havnt bothered.

Has tassy rego till Nov

Car runs great , still needs a tune as it has flatspots, put some new seals on it, bugger all oil leaks now

Still here,

Does have a 1.8L and 2" exhaust now though, as stated in first post.
Also new airfilter, new fuel pump, replaced lifters, new valve cover gasket and camshaft seal will be replaced when they arrive, new oil filter, and fresh fluid.

still here if anyone keen,

rego runs out late next month, and clutch is starting to slip under hard acceleration.
Will drop to $2100 for a quick sale.

also has a new oil filter, oil, couple gaskets.
Sump gasket leaks a little, so would need to be sealed up on next oil change.
Car runs great though, few flat spots now and then, but overall its turn key drive.
