Just bought a sensible A4 Wagon so old faithful isn't getting used any more.

Bought from Golfloon about 3 years ago has provided good service to me and the family. Mileage about 160000ks from memory.

16 inch mk4 GTI wheels with sound tyres, a month or 2s SA rego. Starts and runs well but bodywork looks a little tired.

Towbar fitted but only used a couple of time for pulling a 6x4 trailer.

Oil changed regularly, cambelt due and I'll do that before it gets sold.

5 stud hubs like a VR6, 280mm brakes, cable gearbox, aircon, heater matrix replaced, economical considering the performance, its 110kw.

Looking for around $3000

Will post photos over the weekend.

Would be an ideal donor for a 16v conversion into a mk1/2 or 3.

Sudden and catastrophic failure of the engine in the car that needs the transplant would be my tactic.

I hate to say this (hate to see another Toledo 16v get parted out- I reckon they're cool cars)..



This would be worth 3k just to have all the bits for a swap into a Mk1 (Or mk2 if you have less taste.. ).

Take the engine, loom, ecu etc and sell the stuff you don't want. Sell the shell to a wrecker etc..

Heaps cheaper and easier than buying an engine you haven't seen run and having to source half the bits. Believe me, i've been there. Spend more first so you don't have to spend again later.

Just a reminder it's a Toledo 16V not an Ibiza. Same motor though. As Chris said much easier to buy the whole thing, then do the transplant knowing you have everything to hand and nothing is missing.

Sell what you don't need and get some dollars back.

Fitting it in a MK3 would be easy, big brakes etc.

It's just like this one that Pete had. Same colour but with MK4 GTI wheels. The twin spoke Passat looking kind.
