    When I running...

    washer fluid additive?

what additives are people using in their cars?
The previous owner of my Octavia had issues with the system gumming up and I'm in the process of replacing a clogged headlight washer jet.

Skoda has a listing for a small bottle of concentrate additive, but apparently they're not allowed...

    High pressure washer

Just wondering if it’d be safe to use a 1740psi high pressure washer on our Tiguan due to sensors etc. I also hear that it can damage rubber seals etc if not angled right. I normally use a garden hose with 2 bucket method.

    Leaking washer fluid issues

Initially had issues of washer fluid leaking out of my R36 as soon as the reservoir was topped up - so fast that I'd have the 'add wash fluid' light on straight away. This happened after I had my car serviced.

Bought it back to have the leaking/hose issues resolved. Warning lights gone,...

  • Rust on boot strut washer

Has anybody noticed this washer rusting at the end of the boot strut where it is attached to the body?
This is the same on both struts.
I've only done 11000KM in 2 years and it has been garaged at night and under covered parking most days for its life.
I've also been in the habit of...

  • windscreen washer fluid and washer/wiper action

Why would the 2018 Owner manual SPECIFICALLY say not to use distilled water with the washer fluid? It says use clean clear water. Well you can't get any clearer or cleaner water than distilled, and as a chemist this beats me. Is a certain level of electrolytes required?
    Thinking about this some...

Advice please - windscreen washer motor

The windscreen washer on my B6 V6 Passat has stopped working and I'm suspicious that the pump motor has failed - either burnt out electrically or physically clogged. The motor (part 12) is clipped into the side of the washer bottle and I've found that it can easily be raised or rotated. Can the motor...

    Washer Fluids

So just 6 months & 6~7000km into my Tiguan now, I started receiving the "Low Washer Fluid" warning on Monday, which is much quicker then I had anticipated as with my previous car took nearly 2 years for the washer fluid to be used up. Maybe I've been using it a lot recently since a lot...

2014 Octavia RS Jet Washer Assembly

    Hi Guys,

My car's front bumper (driver side) was lightly bumped very recently whilst parking on the side of the road. Damage was very minimal, from the outside at least, just a light scuff below the headlight.

However it seems that the bump may have broken something inside...
