Posting to get access to the rest of the forum and figure out why on earth VW makes updating maps difficult

Updating Navigation maps on a 2016 Passat
I was looking at updating the maps on my 2016 Passat and thought that the maps will be on a SD card in one of the slots but there doesn't appear to be any cards inserted in either slot. In the system setting \ remove safely \ select device the SD card 1 and 2 are grayed out.
So where are...

Leather/Heated Seats
Maybe I missed it but I can't see an option for leather seats or heated seats in the MK8 list. That's going to kill any chance of my wife updating from the Mk7 Highline to a MK8.

Last VW was in 1981! New Polo.
Hello to everyone. I have a new 6C Polo 81TSI DSG which I have had for just about 3 weeks now. Looking forward to reading posts and updating my VW knowledge. I had a 1965 Beetle when I was a student, now I am am back to a VW.
