I have a 132TSI MY19.5 Tiguan, (production date Oct 2018 ) that has done ~103,000km. I bought it secondhand last year as a VW Certified Pre-Owned car.
I have just booked it in for the 84 month / 105k service and my VW dealer is recommending that I get the timing belt...

I have a CFG engine fitted to my 2012 Passat TDI Highline. I have the timing kit, but I am unsure of the correct tooling to use.
I had previously done the job on the older PD engines, but with this being CR I know the tooling is different.

Discussion - effects of 15k service intervals and stop/start systems on timing chains
I'd like to know everyones thoughts on the effects of 15,000km service intervals and stop/start systems on timing chains (and general engine longevity) with VAG vehicles.

hello everyone.I Have a passat 2012 v6 with 186k on the clock. Went for a drive today and went to overtake revved to about 5000rpm and when i got off the freeway the car would not let me go over 2000rpm. So i had to drive all the way back from rye. Plugged in the scan tool and this is what i got.... -
How difficult is it to install a new timing belt kit and water pump yourself?
I'm nearing the 7yr interval to do my timing belt, and was thinking of having a go at it. I'm out of work ATM so I have plenty of time on my hands.
