Hi, I have an unusual problem, every autumn (about May) when the weather is starting to get cold and damp (Melbourne) my tacho goes on the blink and starts acting erratically, needless to say once this happens the high-pressure oil light swings into action which can be quite annoying on a long trip....

Hey people does anyone have a Vag tacho cable I can come borrow or use for 20minutes as I would like to pull a my PIN from the ECU/dashpod to be able to switch a new one in.

1995 T4 petrol 2 ltr. does the tacho run off coil or alternator ?. The issue I have is that the tacho has become very 'jerky' in its movement and when i turn ignition off it stays on 1000 rpm. (the dial not the motor) if i then just flick ignition on and off again the dial goes to zero !! any thoughts...

So.. when we purchased our ****box rally mk1 golf we got a bunch of spare parts with it.
So we figured we would sell all the parts and donate the funds to the rally.. but I have no idea what they are worth. So i'm just trying to get an idea of what to ask for them before throwing them up for sale....

my 1980 gld obviously dosnt have a tacho, can u buy an aftermarket on and fit it? whats involved?
obviously something would need to be fitted to the gearbox as a sender?
is this often done?
