Howdy folks, 34,000km in and i reckon i'm a few thousand more km off needing new tyres. Having just tuned the car, the rubber is melting away too.
Understand the stock tyre is a 235/45R20, has anyone fit a wider tyre on? I was thinking of moving to a 245/45R20 if it would fit.

I've just been doing a bit of a test fit with my track rims now that I'm going to run 215's up front on my 9N3 Polo gti. If I run my 15mm spacers that I was using with my 205's, I end up with a 12.5mm drill bits clearance between the tyre sidewall and the coil over body. I do need to move the rim inboard... -
215 on stock rim
Anyone run a 215/45/16 on the stock rim? If so how'd the sidewall look? -

Wheels and tyres are in excellent condition. I had 2 complete sets of wheels/tyres.
Tyres are 215/65 R16C Light Truck 106/104S Bridgestone Dueler A/T 697.
