Just after starting the car this morning and cruising down my street a message came up in the cluster 'Apply Brake'. I did this and the car shut off. I had to put the car in P, turn off the car and turn on again. Fired up straight away and error gone, thankfully not a busy road and no other cars about....

Hi all. I'm trying to work out when the auxiliary water pump that is in line with the heater core should be running? Is it all the time the the motor is switched on and then after you shut down for a little? Mine doesn't seem to run when the car is on and I have no heat on the dash.

A quick and hopefully easy one, my R36 wagon with auto tailgate optioned occasionally will come up saying that the boot is open and stay like this even though it is firmly shut. Anyone with auto tailgate will know they can't be slightly open given how much force the mechanism shuts...
