Afternoon peoples new to the site currently playing with a mk4 gti golf

Did you know you can play videos on the main screen? I play videos from my USB stick. It will show the video whenever the car stops, but continue just playing the sound while the car is in motion.

Hi everyone I am new to the VW game having just had a Discovery 4 HSE writen off on due to water in the fuel.
We decided to buy a 2015 Touareg 180kw and a 2014 Amarok Highline (the toy).
I am a diesel Mechanic and an engineer so will be playing with both, I have already fitted aux fuel filters...

So in my first two weeks and playing around I have worked out how to play videos via android on the standard Discover Media, here is how its done.

Go into phone settings, system, about phone, then tap the build number 5 times. Enter you pin and this turns on developer mode.

Hi all. Does anyone know where the siren is for the alarm.
Have had a look at the wiper motor section and cant see it. The ararm keep coming on as the central locking is sometimes playing up.

Just a quick question- is max power limited on the Alltrack during the run in period at all? Not that I’ve been flogging it but when I was playing with the power monitor I noticed that 130kw was as high as I could get it. The car has done 350km.

Does Bluetooth audio streaming work well? Can you leave the phone in your pocket and start music playing from it or can you only initiate from the phone?

Hi All, The wife just bought herself an '09 1.4 TSI Jetta and coming from a background of Toyota i was looking for a VW forum and of the few i came across this one seemed to be the best for information. Everything seems to be just that little bit different with the VW but I'm slowly getting used to...

When I use cruise control, at random times, I can hear a very faint beeping sound. By faint I mean it's noy audible when there's music is playing, but annoying when there isn't music playing.

Anyone have the same issue? Quite bizarre I must say...
