I had a pass on my Dashboard and when I turned a corner, it slide just past the centre towards the steering wheel and slide down the Windscreen

WTF !!! Why isn't the gap between the Dashboard and Windscreen sealed

Can anyone provide assistance on the best way to retrieve it...
