We decided to repair him, and a new mechatronic unit was purchased from VW through my Service Center...

Both the mechatronic and the transmission died! Only found out about the transmission after buying a new mechatronic.

Hi guys, so took my mk7 tsi to get serviced at a new place and they said that my mechatronic pan gasket is leaking. They gave me a quote to replace the pan gasket for $700. Wondering if this is necessary to fix or a big issue? If it is 3 hours labour a fair amount to be paying.

Hi. How common is mechatronic connector/plug to leak fluid out of the pins/harness? Is this a bad sign? Can it be repaired?

Looks like my 3rd mechatronic in 12 months is about to ***** itself. Is it just bad luck or more to the story?!

First repair was mechatronic, clutch packs and forks. 511 kms later and the mechatronic died under warranty and replaced. 15k kms later, TCM...

As title states my MK7.5 has been diagnosed with a leak from the sealed Mechatronic unit and needs to be opened refilled and resealed ($1,150). The car is 9 months out of warranty and I'm waiting to hear back from the dealer if Volkswagen Aus will help with half or full coverage.

saw his fascinating bits and pieces on his R36, starting wondering if I could do the same to my R36 too.

owned my silver R36 since June 2018. Lots of little thing that I wanna improve on this lovely wagon....

So I think my mechatronic unit has died yesterday gears not engaging, prnds flashing etc.
Anyone has or know of any DSG car being wrecked? Mine is 02E.
Please let me know if anyone's selling the gearbox....

I have repaired boxes that have a noisy bearing issue. If you have a car with the 02E 6 speed gearbox with noisy bearings I can change them. Cost is considerably cheaper than the dealer! I order the bearings from UK so...

All repairs continue to be under warranty (spends more time in the dealer than on the road) but mechanical warranty...
