Has anyone tried water decarbonisation to clean there tdi engine ? Anather theory as to why ttdi uses oil is stuck oil rings and apparently a water injection may unstuck rings.

Hi all,

Our TDI syncro 2.5 ACV engine has suddenly developed a horrible engine noise.
It was parked one day normally then the next morning straight away it sounds like a chaff cutter. The general noise level has gone up heaps as just clatter. Like "normal" diesel noise...

Replacing the water pump in my 1.8tsi. The injection nozzles look fairly horrible. I remember people posting that they got some for a fairly reasonable price but I can't find the post(s).

Can anyone point me in the right direction?
