Having just purchased our Tiguan 2018 I have been having a close look around it and also have updated the Navigation software and applied a 3M paint protection film product to the door sills and boot sill. It's a lovely drive and we are very pleased so far.
While doing the boot sill film, I noticed...

Hi all,
I have a 2018 Mk7.5 Golf R.
Recently I hit a big pot hole at high speed and bent my front left wheel really badly, not to mention ripped a massive hole in the tyre.
I had an alignment done after the fact by a shop I won't name. I was looking closer at the...

Head gasket concerns.
My first post so hope it makes sense. I'm repairing a Golf TDI with the BKD engine. My local spares store have ordered a 3 hole head gasket to refit the head along with new bolts.
My concern is that the original head gasket is the 2 hole so is marginally thinner than the new gasket....

Access to the boot from the rear muffler
I have a GTI Pirelli and under the spare tyre are a few grommets but I haven't seen a way to get access to the rear muffler through there.
Does anyone know of a way it might be possible without drilling a hole? I need to feed a cable to my valved muffler in the future.

Any bright ideas how to mount this?
I need some ideas how to mount a bar in my engine bay.
The plastic engine sump guard on my car is knackered so I found a steel one off an early Scout at a wrecker. It has a bar/cross member across the front that bolts onto the 'chassis rails' up under the engine bay. There are some points...Last edited by wfdTamar; 29-11-2017, 12:50 PM.

Mounting a Compressor in a T5
I'm prompted to write this at the suggestion of another member.
Compressor Mount
I wanted to put a compressor in my T5.1 Camper. I looked at as many brands as I could and read what I could about them.
In the end I settled on an ARB CKMA12 unit, partly on the basis of reviews...

6R Polo Amplifier cable through firewall.
Hi everyone,
Just wondering, how is everyone getting their positive cable from the battery to inside the cabin? I'm having very little luck finding a suitable grommet or hole.
I've searched everywhere but there's very little for the 6R Polo, and info is sketchy at best....

1. audi TT ball joints #8J0407365 & ..366 or Meyle equivalent #1160100022
2. There are 3 ball joint locating dimples. Drill them out. Their internal remains will need to be filed dead flat. Not fun.
3. Shocking photo but this is what the dimples look like on the inside....

JOM Coilovers Golf MK2/MK3
Selling a set of Jom coilovers to suits a Golf Mk2/3, only used for around 4000kms, and all collar spin freely. Note the front passenger side lower bolt hole has been elongated to allow for greater camber adjustment but does not affect operation at all.Last edited by jjjrules; 04-04-2016, 03:30 AM.
