Does anyone know when VW started to use the none ribbed front driveshaft bolts from the ribbed ones ?.

Have car in for service today, it is 7 years 3 months old and has done a lazy 86,000km. Getting timing belt done and water pump. Front brake pads need replacing for the first time, so can't complain. Recently did new battery myself.
