my son has just bought a 2012 LWB TDI 4Motion, just the commercial version with 2 seats and vinyl back.
the spare wheel was just sitting loose in the back, and on inspection underneath the car, there is nothing there to mount/hang it.
there is no bracket welded on for the cradle to hang...

Looked around for mounts that had the usb connection and didn't see any I liked. I contemplated the proclip (or similar) but the mount sits quite low so intrudes on the passenger if they want to have their knees out and not as ideal a height. The vent mounted options would mean blocking a cent or heating/cooling...

Got a rear diff from a Bora 4motion. This includes the cradle, diff & controller. Was removed from a working car. All you have to do is fill with fluid and bolt it up to your car.

Great spare as these things are hella expensive.

Well, I got the cradle and then the iPhone 6 came out, so I have a basically new cradle for iPhone 5 that replaces the ridiculous touch adapter thingy migig that dosnt do anything lol

What do you do when your shiny new phone doesn't fit the cradle in your car anymore and no one makes a new one just yet? Simple, take to it with a dremel and a drill add a $12 Supercheap Auto generic phone mount...let the magic happen...
