This is my second post on the forum though I joined in 2015. I currently own a MK6 GTI and was shopping around for different intake options, I must have spent hours and hours looking for the one I thought was right. I wanted something durable, something that looked good but...

I always wanted a CAI for the Passat but no off-the-shelf intake that would fit, plenty around for the Mk5/6 Golf, the price for a intake ranging from $300-$600, so I got creative over the last few days, all for under $60!

Due to demand (and the fact that the dyno can only be run up until lunch), we've run a second dyno day in 2018.

RESULTS

Tiguan 162TSI (stock) - 141.3kwaw
Mk4 R32 (stock) - 141.0kwaw
MK7.5 R (CAI, elbow) - 187.3kwaw
Mk7 R (Stage 2 RD Technik, DP, intake, turbo...

The engine compartment is NOT the same in both Mk7 and Mk7.5 Golf "R"s.

Has anyone actually installed successfully a CAI in A MK7.5 "R"?

Recently purchased a mint 2003 MK4 GTI.

This car will mainly be used as a second car/daily and will occasionally get some track time.

I am looking at getting a 3" TBE, FMIC, CAI, 4 bar FPR, pads and rotors, coilovers, DV and some Enkei RPF1's....

Currently got APR stage 2 on my Mk6 R (APR Downpipe/Miltek Cat Back & APR Stage 2 tune) and i've just been quoted the following by an APR dealer to upgrade to Stage 2+:

HPFP $1300
VW Racing CAI $975
Installation $125
(Free upgrade to stage 2 tune)...

Got a mk6 gti, running semi slicks, apr cai, eboost2, chipped ecu and looking for more bits, but keeping the factory look
