I am new here and this is one of my first posts (after posting in the welcome newby threads). I have searched through Google to find ways to fix an issue I have with losing 1/2 gear on my 2003 Mk4 1.6 (BFQ) Generation Golf. From what I can see I have a number of broken shifter bushings....

Wondering if anyone has experience of these poly bushings on a t5.1? Good / bad / no difference? Where did you purchase them from?

Story is I just got some new tyres, went to get a wheel alignment and mechanic said wheel alignment would be a waste of time unless I replace bushings and...

mostly from the front..over any pothole all bump..violent banging out that is not enjoyable one bit..has happened knly recently..ive read the bushings on the the top of the front strut become compressed and faulter over time..if so to which I swap these out for?
