like new, upgraded to a VWR intake, so have this sitting here. Don't really want to chuck it, feel someone must have use for it somewhere! It's in immaculate condition, came out completely clean.

Came out of a 2012 Polo GTI 1.4 TFSI engine.

First time blogger - I recently bought an 05 Polo GTi from a hale auction with the intention to repair it and on-sell it.

I picked it up and discovered two things -

1. Hale had hit all panels meaning repair may be out of the question
2. It blew...

Any of the experts out there able to shed light on my question?...

Is there any merit in insulating the tubing/piping of the air intake, with say thermal exhaust wrap, or any other material?? The idea is to shield it from the upper engine bay heat..
